Policy and Legislation Research Department<\/span><\/h3>\n

Objectives:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Provide consultations to entities concerned with woman’s affairs and decision-makers regarding national policies and legislation, ensuring that women’s needs are taken into consideration.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Study the existing legislation and assess the extent to which it achieves political empowerment for woman to play a leading role in society.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Contribute to the development of plans, preparation of national strategies, and proposal of laws that regulate the rights and duties of women.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Monitor and evaluate government laws and policies related to women’s affairs, and study the main challenges facing the implementation of these laws.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Work on promoting legal and political awareness among woman to ensure their rights.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Conduct scientific studies on laws and policies that highlight the key challenges woman face in the field of policy and legislation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Empowerment and Capacity Building Research Department<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Objectives:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Training and capacity building are fundamental tasks of the center, and in this context, the Empowerment and Capacity Building Research Department undertakes this mission.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Conducting studies and field research related to empowering women economically, politically, and socially, as well as within the family, education, health, and other supportive factors facilitating woman’s empowerment in Iraq.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Preparing training programs and implementing specialized workshops to develop the capabilities of governmental institutions and relevant stakeholders concerned with woman\u2019s issues.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Providing training programs to enhance the capacities of professionals working in the field of woman’s affairs, in addition to offering training courses and workshops for postgraduate students and researchers on modern methodologies used in conducting research and courses on institutional development for organizations and departments working in the field of woman’s issues.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Conducting capacity assessments, monitoring, and impact evaluations to identify gaps, challenges, and available opportunities for improving the performance of programs and institutions dealing with gender justice issues.<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Publishing peer-reviewed research in the field of woman’s studies that meets international standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      International Community Research Department<\/span><\/h3>\n

      Objectives:<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Establish a network of communications with reputable global and local organizations, as well as peer scientific institutions.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Open channels of communication with international and local supporting entities to enhance the department’s work communication and develop mechanisms to achieve the desired goals, serving the reality of Iraqi women, promoting their development, and enhancing social and international peace.<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Cooperating with reputable global universities to conduct effective scientific research, extending beyond local research to include shared international and regional dimensions, in order to improve the status of Iraqi women and secure their place at the local, Arab, and international levels.<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. The International Community Research Department aims to publish and collaborate with scientific and global journals.<\/span><\/li>\n
      5. Promote and market the research and scientific studies conducted by the center at the Arab and international levels as part of the department\u2019s work plan.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
