The International Society Research Department at the Woman\u2019s Studies Center, in collaboration with Al-Turath University, held a workshop on Thursday, December 12, 2024, as part of the \u201c16 Days of Activism Against Violence woman\u2019s \u201d campaign, in alignment with the National Strategy 2023-2030, Pillar Four: Protecting Women.<\/span><\/p>\n

It included discussions on: Dr. Sinan Salah, Head of the International Society Research Department, discussed \u201cThe Role of International Agreements in Combating Violence Against Woman\u2019s.\u201dAnd Dr. Riam Abdul Sattar, also discussed:\u201dThe Iraqi Government\u2019s Strategies to Reduce Violence Against Women,\u201dand Assistant Lecturer Bidaa Abdullah, addressed:\u201cThe Role of Society in Reducing Violence Against Woman\u2019s<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including:<\/span>
\n1.Awareness and Educational Activities: Conducting workshops and awareness sessions to discuss the forms and impacts of violence and strategies to address it.<\/span>
\n2.Media and Digital Campaigns: Creating short videos and infographics to disseminate key messages of the campaign through social media.<\/span>
\n3.Support for Survivors: Raising awareness of support lines and centers that provide legal and psychological assistance to survivors.<\/span><\/p>\n
