The conference was attended by Prof. Dr. Athraa Ismail Zaidan, Director of the Woman&#8217;s Studies Center at the University of Baghdad, along with a group of academics, experts, and specialists in social, legal, and health fields.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: inherit;\">The conference, which saw a wide attendance, discussed the increasing challenges arising from the spread of drugs in Iraqi society and their direct negative impact on families and social cohesion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: inherit;\">Speakers emphasized that the rising rates of drug abuse pose an increasing threat to the social fabric, contributing to family disintegration, higher crime rates, lower academic achievement, and weakened economic performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: inherit;\">At the conclusion of the conference, participants came up with several important recommendations, the most prominent of which are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: inherit;\">Tightening control over border crossings to reduce drug smuggling.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: inherit;\">Intensifying awareness campaigns in schools and universities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: inherit;\">Enhancing
