{"id":1511,"date":"2025-05-14T11:37:59","date_gmt":"2025-05-14T08:37:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.wsc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1511"},"modified":"2025-05-23T11:41:42","modified_gmt":"2025-05-23T08:41:42","slug":"the-womens-studies-center-holds-a-scientific-workshop-on-the-role-of-curricula-in-drug-prevention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.wsc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1511","title":{"rendered":"The Women\u2019s Studies Center Holds a Scientific Workshop on the Role of Curricula in Drug Prevention"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">In alignment with the implementation of the Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security, specifically under the pillar of Protection and Prevention, Paragraph Five, and within the framework of supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals\u2014particularly those related to health, education, and community security\u2014the Department of International Community Research at the Women\u2019s Studies Center organized a scientific workshop entitled \u201cThe Role of Scientific Curricula in Drug Prevention: Towards a Sustainable Preventive Educational Approach\u201d on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">Dr. Lara Hassan Abdullah delivered a lecture highlighting the importance of integrating drug prevention concepts into educational curricula to build societal awareness. Assistant Lecturer Zainab Mohammed Khalaf presented a national strategy aimed at activating the preventive role of education in combating drug abuse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">Recommendations:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">1.Integrate drug prevention concepts into curricula using interactive methods.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">2.Train teachers to raise awareness and address risky behaviors.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">3.Strengthen cooperation among educational institutions, health and security sectors, and civil society organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column
