The Women’s Studies Center, Department of Policies and Legislation, organized, in cooperation with the Independent High Electoral Commission, a workshop entitled ‘Electoral Culture for Women’s Participation in Parliamentary Elections.’<\/span><\/h4>\n

The lecture included the importance of promoting electoral culture due to its clear impact on enhancing women’s participation in parliamentary elections, aiming for women to achieve true and effective political representation, away from a merely formal aspect.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop hosted a group of specialists in electoral affairs and supporting women’s political participation, who possess extensive professional and scientific expertise in the field of electoral and legislative work. The lecturers contributed to enriching the workshop’s topics through scientific presentations and professional analyses reflecting practical experiences in supporting women’s participation in the electoral process and enhancing their presence in decision-making positions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The lectures were delivered by Ms. Asmaa Khairallah Jarad, a member of the Electoral Women’s Support Team, Dr. Nawal Hussein Khalaf, Senior Director and member of the Electoral Women’s Support Team, and researcher Rana Taher Yassin, a member of the Electoral Women’s Support Team. They provided comprehensive insights into electoral culture, mechanisms for empowering women politically, and the challenges they face in participating in parliamentary elections.<\/span><\/p>\n
