The Department of Empowerment and Capacity Building at the Women\u2019s Studies Center at the University of Baghdad organized today, Sunday, 20\/12\/2025, a scientific discussion seminar titled ‘The Dangers of Artificial Intelligence on the Future of Working Women.’ This was part of the center’s efforts to shed light on contemporary issues related to technological developments and their impact on the reality of women in the labor market.<\/span><\/p>\n

The session was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Noor Saadi Isa, and several specialized female academics participated in the seminar, including Professor Dr. Adhra Ismail Zidan, Dr. Rana Talib Yassin, and Dr. Alaa Jawad Haneen from the College of Education for Women. They presented scientific contributions that addressed the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence poses to the future of working women and its effects on employment opportunities, job stability, and gender justice in workplace environments.<\/p>\n

The presentations emphasized the importance of being aware of the potential risks of using artificial intelligence technologies without regulations, particularly concerning the exclusion of women from certain professions or entrenching gender-based discrimination. They also stressed the necessity of employing these technologies in a supportive manner to empower women rather than restrict their roles.<\/p>\n

Recommendations\u2026<\/p>\n

1. Develop women’s digital and technical skills through specialized training programs that keep pace with developments in artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

2. Promote scientific research and academic collaboration to study the impact of AI on women and involve them in designing and developing future technological solutions.<\/p>\n
