[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The Woman\u2019s Studies Center at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Psychological Research Center, held a scientific symposium on early detection of breast cancer on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Dr. Ali Al-Wardi Hall.<\/p>\n

The symposium included a series of scientific lectures delivered by a group of specialists. Presentations were given by Prof. Athraa Ismail Zaidan, Director of the Woman\u2019s Studies Center; Dr. Shatha Kazem Attra from the Middle Technical University; Dr. Heba Hilal Saleh from the Ministry of Health; and Lecturer Jolan Hussein Khalil from the Psychological Research Center. They discussed valuable information and advice on the importance of early detection of breast cancer.<\/p>\n

The symposium concluded with several recommendations, including:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Utilizing traditional and digital media, including television, radio, and social media, to spread information on the importance of self-exams and early detection.<\/li>\n
  2. Providing awareness workshops for women on how to conduct self-examinations.<\/li>\n
  3. Organizing awareness activities in educational institutions to educate female students about the risks of the disease and the importance of early detection<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
