The International Society Research Department at the Woman’s Studies Center, in collaboration with Al-Turath University, held a workshop on Thursday, December 12, 2024, as part of the “16 Days of Activism Against Violence woman’s ” campaign, in alignment with the National Strategy 2023-2030, Pillar Four: Protecting Women.
It included discussions on: Dr. Sinan Salah, Head of the International Society Research Department, discussed “The Role of International Agreements in Combating Violence Against Woman’s.”And Dr. Riam Abdul Sattar, also discussed:”The Iraqi Government’s Strategies to Reduce Violence Against Women,”and Assistant Lecturer Bidaa Abdullah, addressed:“The Role of Society in Reducing Violence Against Woman’s
The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including:
1.Awareness and Educational Activities: Conducting workshops and awareness sessions to discuss the forms and impacts of violence and strategies to address it.
2.Media and Digital Campaigns: Creating short videos and infographics to disseminate key messages of the campaign through social media.
3.Support for Survivors: Raising awareness of support lines and centers that provide legal and psychological assistance to survivors.
