On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, the Woman’s Studies Center, in collaboration with the University of Baghdad Presidency/Student Activities Department, organized a field training course titled “Woman’s Sports and Its Positive Impact on the Physical and Mental Health of Iraqi Woman’s”. The event was held on the tennis courts of the Student Activities Department.

Lectures were delivered by Dr. Salah Mahmoud Salman, And Dr. Fareeq Abdullah, and Lecturer Abdullah Adnan Mohammed, representing the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad. The topics addressed included obesity and its health effects, the fundamentals of woman’s sports, proper methods for engaging in sports, and the influence of physical activity on the physical and mental health of Iraqi woman’s

Additionally, Lecturer Abdullah Adnan Mohammed conducted a practical session on tennis and its impact on physical health.

The most prominent recommendations of the training course were:
1. Maintaining physical fitness through daily walking for at least one hour.
2. Adhering to healthy nutrition.
3. Encouraging the development of a supportive societal environment for woman’s sports.
