On Tuesday, November 27, 2024, under the supervision of the Center’s Director, Professor Dr. Adhraa Ismail Zaidan, the Woman’s Studies Center implemented an initiative that included distributing awareness posters in conjunction with the launch of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
The initiative involved designing and preparing over 100 posters and brochures, which were distributed across all university departments as part of the global campaign to combat violence against woman’s and to raise awareness about the importance of addressing it. Additionally, a roll-up stand bearing the campaign’s slogan was installed at the entrance of the reception area in the Jadriya complex’s main building. Moreover, 15 meters of fabric bearing anti-violence slogans covered the entrance to the Woman’s Studies Center.
The Center’s Director, Prof. Dr. Athraa Ismail, emphasized that “The Center annually organizes diverse activities related to the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which requires collective and active participation to create a safer and more just future for all.”
