On Monday, December 16, 2024, the Director of the Woman’s Studies Center, Prof. Dr. Athraa Ismail Zidan, received a delegation from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain. The delegation included Ms. Iman Kadhem (Director of the Woman’s and Children Media Center),and Mr. Hassan Naama (Deputy Head of the Media Department),and Mr. Walaa Al-Saffar (Director of the Imam Hussain Foundation for Digital Media), and Ms. Alaa Rashid (Publisher at the Women’s and Children Media Center).
The meeting addressed several topics related to the reality of woman’s issues and ways to support them. Additionally, the discussion included drafting a memorandum of understanding and exploring opportunities for fruitful collaboration between the two sides.
Prof. Dr. Athraa Ismail Zidan remarked, “This cooperation will benefit Iraqi woman’s and contribute to advancing their roles, which the center diligently strives to promote both locally and internationally.”
For their part, the delegation from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain commended “the scientific, voluntary, and intellectual efforts of the Woman’s Studies Center in serving Iraqi woman’s and researchers.
