As part of enhancing cooperation between academic and governmental institutions, a delegation from the Woman’s Studies Center at the University of Baghdad visited the General Directorate of Education for Al-Karkh Second District on Monday, February 3, 2025. The delegation was headed by the Director of the Women’s Studies Center,Dr. Adhraa Ismail Zidan, accompanied by several faculty members from the center. They were received by the General Director of Education for Al-Karkh Second District, Dr. Qais Al-Kilabi.

This visit was coordinated with the Center for Psychological Research at the University of Baghdad and attended by a member of the Baghdad Provincial Council, Ms. Aseel Al-Khalidi. The visit aimed to explore prospects for joint cooperation among all parties to develop educational and awareness initiatives related to woman’s empowerment and the promotion of human rights. The meeting included discussions on ways to strengthen relations through organizing joint scientific seminars and training workshops that support woman’s issues, contribute to capacity building, and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two institutions.

This visit is part of a series of activities carried out by the Woman’s Studies Center to enhance strategic partnerships with various governmental and academic institutions, supporting its vision to advance the role and status of women in society
