The Center for Women’s Studies affirmed its active institutional presence by participating in the official celebration marking the launch of the Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security (2025–2030), held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
The Center was represented at the event by Assistant Lecturer Zainab Mohammed Khalaf, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit and Liaison Officer of the Women’s Affairs Unit. Her participation underscored the Center’s engagement in national initiatives aimed at empowering women and enhancing their roles across various development fields.
The celebration featured a speech by His Excellency the Minister, who emphasized the importance of supporting women within higher education institutions and the necessity of strengthening their presence as key partners in building society and shaping a brighter future for Iraq. The event also included an honoring ceremony for a number of distinguished female academic and administrative professionals in recognition of their contributions and achievements in the fields of education and knowledge.
