On Sunday, April 27, 2025, the Women’s Studies Center participated in the activities of the First International Women’s Conference organized by the Qusour Foundation for Sustainable Development in cooperation with Al-Hazbar Group and under the patronage of the NGO Directorate in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, under the slogan “Women in an Era of Change (Empowerment. Leadership. Impact).”

The conference witnessed notable official attendance. Mr. Ashraf Al-Dahan, Director General of the NGO Directorate, affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting women’s issues through the launch of the National Strategy (2023–2030), in addition to other initiatives, most notably the establishment of the Women, Peace, and Security Institute.

The Women’s Studies Center was represented by Professor Dr. Athraa Ismail Zidan, Director of the Center, and Assistant Lecturer Zainab Mohammed Khalaf, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, confirming the center’s commitment to promoting scientific and community activities related to women’s issues.

This participation comes within the framework of national efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5, which focuses on gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
