As part of efforts to enhance academic quality, the Center for Women’s Studies participated in a workshop organized by the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education. The workshop, titled Mechanisms and Requirements for University Performance Evaluation, was held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in the late Mehdi Hantoush Hall at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad.
The center was represented in the workshop by Assistant Lecturer Zainab Mohammed Khalaf, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, Director of the Quality Assurance Department, along with a number of academics.
The workshop highlighted the mechanisms for evaluating university performance for the academic year 2023–2024, while reviewing key observations recorded in the performance reports of the previous year, 2022–2023. The aim was to enhance the quality of both academic and administrative performance.
Recommendations:
1. Standardizing the procedures adopted in higher education institutions.
2. Organizing academic and administrative documentation mechanisms with precision.
3. Avoiding past errors to ensure improved quality of education and institutional performance
