The Woman’s Studies Center at the University of Baghdad participated on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in the “Women United Against Corruption” conference, which was organized by the Integrity Commission at its headquarters in the capital, Baghdad. Attending the conference from the Woman’s Studies Center were Dr. Rana Talib Yassin and Dr. Lara Hassan Abdullah, along with Teacher Hiba Abdul Mohsen and Assistant Teacher. Zainab Mohammed Khalaf. The event also included a group of female parliamentarians, representatives from women’s affairs departments in various ministries, agencies, and entities not associated with ministries, as well as representatives from provinces and local councils, and a number of representatives from local and international civil society organizations.

During the conference, participants exchanged views and ideas on empowering women and preparing them to assume important positions within the state. They also discussed the role of women in combating corruption and safeguarding public funds, as well as their crucial role in educating a culturally aware and conscious generation that will serve as a shield for society and a driving force for progress in the future.
