The Center for Woman’s Studies participated on Monday, October 21, 2024, in the final conference of the “Work and Dignity” project, titled “Economic Empowerment of Displaced Woman’s: A Step Toward Community Stability and Building Security and Peace in Iraq.” The project was implemented by the Institute of Woman’s Leadership, supported by UN Woman’s and the Woman’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund, in collaboration with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement.
The conference was attended by the Director of the Center for Woman’s Studies, Prof. Dr. Adhraa Ismail Zaidan, the Head of the Department of International Community Research, Assistant Prof. Dr. Sinan Salah, and Lecturer. Hiba Abdul Mohsen, the Center’s Cooperation Mechanism Officer. Representatives from various ministries, government agencies, and local and international organizations concerned with women’s issues were also present.
The conference aimed to identify and discuss the challenges woman face in obtaining loans by exchanging ideas and experiences among various parties, thus enhancing cooperation in designing programs that meet woman’s needs.
