Dr. Saba Hussein Mola, Head of the Policies and Legislation Department at the Woman’s Studies Center, participated in the 7th International Scientific Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences, titled “The Role of Humanities and Social Sciences in Achieving Sustainable Development.” The conference took place on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, and lasted for four days in Duhok Governorate.
The conference was organized by the North European Academy of Sciences and Scientific Research in Denmark, in cooperation with numerous universities and research institutions. Dr. Mola presented her research titled “The Feminist Movement in Kuwait and Its Impact on Gulf Society 1961-1980.”
The conference concluded with several recommendations, including:
1.Organizing awareness campaigns to enhance community awareness of the importance of women’s participation in political life and their active role in achieving development.
2.Providing educational and training programs for women to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective political participation.
3.Encouraging women to engage in entrepreneurship and providing them with financial and training support, which enhances their financial independence and enables them to participate confidently in politics.
