On Sunday morning, February 2, 2025, the University of Baghdad organized an official celebration on the occasion of National Quran Day. The event was held in Al-Hakim Hall, attended by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, along with a number of academic figures and researchers specialized in Quranic studies.

The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by an opening speech delivered by the Minister, in which he emphasized the profound importance of instilling Quranic values in building individuals and societies, as well as their pivotal role in strengthening national identity.

The celebration also witnessed the attendance of Professor Dr. Adhraa Ismail Zaidan, Director of the Woman’s Studies Center, accompanied by a distinguished group of the center’s members.

The event concluded with the honoring of several prominent academic figures and distinguished researchers in the field of Quranic studies, in recognition of their scientific contributions to this vital field of knowledge. The ceremony underscored the necessity of continuing such events to enhance the connection between academic thought and the timeless principles of the Quran.
