On Monday, April 14, 2025, Professor Dr. Athraa Ismail Zaidan, Director of the Women’s Studies Center, received a delegation from the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi and accompanied by a number of faculty members. The visit aimed to strengthen academic cooperation and exchange expertise between the two sides.
During the meeting, the center’s key programs and activities were reviewed, and ways of collaboration were discussed—particularly in organizing joint seminars and workshops that address political and social issues from a gender perspective, in a way that promotes integration between academic disciplines.
The visiting delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and praised the vital role played by the center in supporting and empowering women through its scientific and awareness programs, as well as its distinguished research initiatives.
This meeting aligns with the 17th Sustainable Development Goal, which emphasizes the importance of fostering effective partnerships as a fundamental pillar for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
