The Center for Women’s Studies participated in a scientific symposium entitled “Addressing Breast Cancer Issues in Women” sponsored by the Department of Women’s Empowerment at the University of Baghdad. The event took place at the Faculty of Engineering in the hall of Professor Mahdi Hantoush. During the symposium, Dr. Zainab Al-Rubai and Dr. Rasha Sair from the Oncology Hospital/Faculty of Medicine discussed various topics. The speakers discussed myths, rumors and facts about the disease, emphasized the importance of self-examination for women and stressed the importance of early detection and its correlation with the speed of recovery.
